Just 3 stepped my car and now want to apply Cquartz

Hello and hope all is well.

My first time posting and thank you for all your wisdom and knowledge. I do have a question in regards to applying CQuartz to my car. I wanted to do a paint correction to my car and had ordered the Black Fire Compound and One step, along with Cquartz. Being we are dealing with the Corona issue the Cquartz said it would be a month from delivering. But being I had time off from work I got started on the paint correction. The car came out amazing using the Black Fire products and I went ahead and applied Collinite 845 wax. The car came out almost if not better than showroom finish. I have not driven the car or moved it from the garage, and lone and behold my Cquartz ended up showing up 3 weeks early.

That being said, can I use something like Clean Slate car wash or Car Pro Eraser to remove the wax and any type of product before applying Cquartz or is there a better way in doing it?

    Thank you in advance

Car Pro Eraser is a must before ceramic. It will remove the wax and give you a clean foundation to work with. Good luck.

Ceramic coatings need to be applied to bare paint for optimal adherence. Products such as clean slate and eraser are not guaranteed to strip the paint and leave it bare. Best way to go about it is to go back over the paint with a finishing polish at the very least and remove any polishing oils/residue with eraser.

Eraser is made to remove fresh polishing oils and residue, I’d definitely go over it with a fine polish and then use Erasure then coating

Polish and apply the coating. It will remove any wax from the blackfire one step and the wax you used.

If you need a polish you can run to your local store and pick up M205. Just be sure to wipe down the surface with Eraser a couple times to remove the oils from M205.

If you want to order a polish optimum hyper polish is a good option.

Like others have posted - to make sure all portions of the protection ingredients that are in the BLACKFIRE One Step are removed - you'll want to mechanically abrade the paint.

Then use a panel wipe to strip off any polishing oils and then install the coating.

thank you guys for all the help. Was able to coat it last night and just pulled it out of the garage to see how it looked in the sun. So far I think I did a decent job for my first time. Lots of lessons learned!

Damn, black cars when detailed look so good. But after owning 2 I will not buy another, too hard to keep perfect.
