    Leather care

I've tried handfuls of leather cleaners & protectants and cannot seem to find one that really leaves the leather in any kind of "factory" condition. I've tried leather balms that leave streaks in the leather the next morning. Some make the leather seats incredibly slippery. Some of them come out like I didn't do anything at all. Some even leave white residue inside the texture of the leather.

What do you guys recommend use on leather? Car in question is a 2011 MB E350

    Thanks!

Does your Benz have genuine leather seats or MB Tex?

Optimum's Protectant plus & Griot's Interior detail are my two favorites

    Leather care

If it’s got MB Tex then the reason you’re seeing poor results from most automotive leather products is because your owner’s manual actually instructs you to not use typical automotive leather cleaners on MB Tex. I maintain this 2014 Mercedes Benz E Class for a client and it has MB Tex seats and sure enough it’s true, try using Meguiars D181 Leather Cleaner or even D101 All Purpose Cleaner on those seats and it works like absolute crap.

But using Meguiars D180 Leather Cleaner & Conditioner is a whole nother story.. Those seats love that stuff. It gives it much needed moisture and darkens them in a proper way + the scent is a pleasure. Customer loves it.

If your Benz is equipped with actual real genuine leather seats, like the kind you had to pay an extra $2,400 dollars for, then I’d recommend Blackfire Leather Complete.

It does have MB-Tex, and I didn't know it needed to be treated differently than others. All our other vehicles with leather come out just fine.

And for those that might not know,

    MB-Tex = vinyl

Usually BMWs have coated leather seats with MB-Tex on the sides, dash, door panels etc.

    Just to note,

I just did a full review for Leatherique. This was my first time using this line of products.

I used them on COATED LEATHER in a 2011 Acura RDX
