That is the million dollar question ... how does the new sealant stack up against the new coating ? Similar in performance but just different application methods ? Coating is maybe more diversified in terms of usage ?

I’m just thinking out loud here, I’m thinking maybe the sealant does better against things like water spots and bird poo etching... things I never had problems with when using sealants but that seem to be about the only potential issues with SiO2 products in spray form.

Don’t know if this is the answer, but I believe it comes down to the application method and probably some chemical differences to make it a cream formula as opposed to a sprayable coating or sealant.

Meguiars has they’re Hybrid Ceramic Wax that has been out over a year and recently launched the Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. I think a similar question was asked to them, what’s different about these products, also regarding durability etc. The answer they gave was that they’re very similar products and share the same chemistry, but offer different application methods for people who like to spray and who like to “wax on wax off.”
They mentioned that the Hybrid Ceramic Detailer would be used to maintain either option.

Just a shot in the dark but I’m thinking this may be a similar concept.

I received mine as well. AG (as represented by Meghan) is as stand-up an organization as I can imagine. No businesses do these kind of things! Thanks for treating us.

I’m trying to plan a little comparison hood-test this week if I can find time. Pretty excited!

I'm wondering the same thing. We have hot summers and bad winters in Chicago. So I am curious...
