I have a delmonico red ram truck and find it very hard to get the touch up of stone chips to match. Dont know if it is because of the metalic in it. I get it were you can not feel a difference but you can see it. Any tips or ideas. The paint is mopar touch up.

I have seen many people recommend Dr ColorChip. I am waiting for my order to arrive so I can polish and try. I too have metallic paint and have high hopes. I know it will not be perfect, but I’m hoping for very good. Touch up paint

You can not match metallic colors doing a brush type touch up... Period.

    Re: Touch up paint

I have dark metallic paint on a BMW and just used Dr. Colorchip for the first time on some curbing-induced, long scratches on the lower front bumper. I was impressed with the color match as well as the process.

The paint came with an extra brush taped to a note that advised me that it was metallic paint and that I should use the brush to agitate the paint at the bottom of the container, in addition to shaking the whole thing. I thought that was a nice touch.
