Just didn't want to see a post down the road by this OP on how to prevent swirls.

I was one of those swirl o magic customers.

When I had my black Chevy, I first used Meguiar's M26. Then Zymol Carbon.

If I get another black GM, I'll probably be using Duragloss 111.

IMO 98% of what you see when black is done right is in the prep/polish/correction work. The LSP is important and will amp up the results just a wee-bit but their key is locking in the efforts spent prior to their application. On a BIG vehicle like yours I recommend doing it right....that is fully correcting it or at least to a level you're good with, then Ceramic Coating it. Coatings are magic but they do have great hydrophobic properties and last longer thus extending all your efforts. To a minor extent they will be more forgiving when it comes to drying and marring that can happen there. Key to black is caring for it properly and most importantly, knowing how to dry it off.

...And not washing in direct sunlight, especially in the summertime because water dries extra fast on black.

My suggestions to all of the products out there. Would be prep it to a high gloss with the polishing that is needed. If only a finishing polishing is needed I would do it with Polish Angel Esclate Lotion. And then protect it with Polish Angel Master Sealant. For maintance you could get Polish Angel Rapidwaxx which is made for the Master Sealant. This combo will get you an awesome look from your black paint. And also important to get your washing methods and drying dialed in to get the least marring and dullness on your finish. So research how you maintain a great finish.

    Re: Best on black

    Hello,
Just did my basic Black '19 'Vette, With the help from the Good Crew here my project came out a lot better than I ever imagined. First I clay bared it (blackfire clay bar ) then I went with Blackfire One step, then I did the Blackfire paint sealant, (I used the Griots 6" random orbital with the 5" adapter plate and pads and the G 21) waited a day and waxed it with a coat of collinate insulator wax!
    Good luck !!

we like Meguiars ultimate liquid wax. Sometimes streaks a bit on removal on a dark color car but a mist of meguiars gold class premium quick wax to remove the streaks and you are golden

WG DGPS is a step up if you like ULW.
WolfGang lasts longer, easier removal and has a little more something in the looks department.
