    Application of Blackfire Si02

I followed the instructions on the bottle and sprayed on to a microfiber enough to dampen it to apply and then used a second microfiber to remove. It seemed to streak as it was being applied and the second pass with the clean towel did not remove the streaks and it was difficult to wipe. I had just cleaned the car with Wolfgang waterless wash. The video on the product shows Mike spraying a very generous amount directly to the paint. It does not seem to show the streaking that I was seeing during the application and after the second wipe everything disappeared. It looked as if he was using a regular detail spray. Other on this forum have commented about how easy it is to apply. So what am I doing wrong? Should i be applying directly to the paint and use a generous amount? Does temperature matter? The outside temperature was about 55 degrees when I applied.

I’m gonna take a guess, having never used the product. Maybe the surface wasn’t that clean after the ww. I had the same issue with Optimum Car Wax after a rinseless wash. Then re-washed and it was a totally different experience. Very easy and streak free. Try washing more thoroughly maybe.

Yes spray a generous amount onto the paint! I don’t know why this works with this particular product but it does. I tried it both ways and spraying onto the paint and spreading with a damp microfiber then following up with a clean microfiber worked best. It’s the opposite of the way I apply other SiO2 products. No idea why.

I just apply it like a detail spray and have no problems at all.
