Hi Mike,

I wanted to get your opinion on the Pinnacle Black Diamond Coating Elite system. I purchased this for my 2015 F-250, you have seen a picture of it. Is this the right system or should I consider a different product? Thank you in advance for your input.

This is a very complete kit for coating your truck's paint, glass and rims.

It's also very simple to use to the point of being bubba-proof.


We recently traded our Mercedes-Benz SL 500 in for a Honda H-RV and I will be using this kit to do a full detail to this crossover SUV. That's how much confidence I have in the products.


The key with any ceramic paint coating is always in the prep work. I'm not a huge fan of the Surface Cleansing Polish. It works great it's just I don't like the pump on the bottle, just a tick to boutique for my tastes and I prefer just to use a spray on solvent wipe but the product works fine.

Also - just to add, I DO think the Surface Cleansing Polish is more bubba-proof to use than a spray on solvent wipe. As long as you use a soft foam finishing pad or waxing pad you are less likely to MAR the paint with this product than with a solvent wipe. I'd say most people cannot chemically strip black paint without marring it using a spray on solvent and ESPECIALLY if the paint is soft. So the Surface Cleansing Polish removes the risk of marring paint.

Wheels & Tires
Wheels are coated with Black Label Diamond Wheel Coating. Tires have three applications of TUF Shine Tire Clearcoat.
