Detailing with Clear Bra?
Mike I recently purchased a 2016 Subaru WRX.
it looks as if the previous owner babied it. I noticed the previous owner applied a clear protection film to the lower front hood along with the whole front of the car. My question is can I detail the car as normal using an Iron and Fall Out Remover and a coating of my choice? Or will certain chemicals cause damage to the protective film?
Thanks

CarPro does list its very own Trix as
one product to avoid using on all PPF.
Need to know the brand, and the
generation, of this particular PPF
in order to provide further do(s)
and don’t(s).

Iron X will be fine but avoid any solvents that remove tar, etc. A very light pass-over with a fine polishing pad and polish will be fine. Don't use any pressure, just the weight of the buffer. The goal is to just clean the surface. Most quality PPF's have their own clear-coat layer so you don't want do more than just clean it. Coatings over PPF is fine.

I have full frontal on my S550 Mustang and partial front, and side rockers on my S197 Mustang. You can iron-x and polish CB, but you will have diminished returns.
Do go lightly, not a lot of pressure and don't stay on a spot... You have to be aware of heat build up. You should be fine.

Detailing with a clear bra? I don’t even own one. I’ve got some beige and black but no clear. Hmmmm. Either way I don’t thing I’d be detailing in any color bra.
Sorry, guys. I just couldn’t help myself!

You got new boots Bob?
Nice.
Always comforting to see you match your ensemble with a corresponding purse.
You go, WalMart man.
