    How much D115 to add to 5 gallons of water

    Before I stock up on McGee's 37, I want to use up what I already have and a have some D115 I need to use up. So how much do I need to add to 5 gallons of water to make a rinsless wash? 9 ounces, more? Less?

    I'm going to wash my car in the morning before it gets too hot and I would like to know so I don't make it too weak and scratch up my paint.

    @ 4:1 = 160oz.
    @ 8:1 = 80oz.
    @10:1 = 65oz.
    @15:1 = 42.5oz.
    @20:1 = 32.5oz.

    1oz per 2 gallons of water. This is the recommended dilution on the AG product page.

    If you dilute to 1:4 - 1:8 you should wash with something cheaper and lay t..he D115 in as you dry

    D115 is pretty much made to be your lsp. A bulk version of that UWWA.

    That’s one reason it’s so pricey is you don’t just need to use it for quick clean ups it’s much more substantial than that

    So basically, I should two bucket wash the car like normal and use the D115 as a drying aid or as a "final wipe" after the car us done to remove the dust or in my case the pollen after the car is dried off?

    @Don M. Just curious, are you leaning towards doing the 2oz. or the 160oz. of concentrate per bucket rinseless?

    I don't know. It almost seems wasteful to use that much D115 in a bucket for only 1 or 2 rinsless washes and using a dilution more than 10:1 doesn't seem like it would have enough lubrication. I'll probably just continue to use it at 8:1 as a drying aid or like I mentioned above to remove the dust/pollen that gets on my car as I'm drying it.

    D115 is intended and is best used as a waterless wash for a dusty to moderately dirty vehicle diluted anywhere from 4:1 - 20:1

    Some people like to point towards articles and labels, I recommend using it @6:1 as a waterless wash as it was intended not only based on what the label says, but also from my own experience using it. I’ve gone through a couple of gallons of it that way and it works outstanding, probably the best waterless wash I’ve ever used by quite a margin.

    Btw, nowhere on the label [last time I checked] does it give instructions on using it as a rinseless wash or drying aid. You have the freedom to use it however you please, but that’s not what it was intended for.
    D114 = Megs Rinseless, D115 = Waterless.

    I noticed that too. But the idea of a waterless wash still kind of rubs me the wrong way ... I 'feel' better about using it 8:1 as a drying aid or wipe for LIGHT dust. ESPECIALLY on highly polished BLACK paint.
