Half Million Views for Single Stage Paint Article

Half Million Views for Single Stage Paint Article

Well, technically, almost a half million views for this article I wrote on how to restore antique and original single stage paint

Here's the interesting thing about it.... it kind of defies normal marketing and sales logic. Consider that the majority of people on planet Earth that own a car - own a car with a basecoat/clearcoat paint system. They DON'T own a car with antique, single stage paint.

I have to wonder... how much #7 we've sold over the years...

And if you're reading this and you're going to do the #7 Rub Out Technique as shown here,

A really good towel for this is this one from Griot's Garage

Enough #7 to fill the hole where the Pontiac Silverdome once sat.

I confess: I was responsible for at least 10 of those reads. I referred to it several times before, and during a single stage project I worked on.

    Thanks for posting it!!!!!!!!!!!

My first thought was could this be the work of Russian trolls? Next thought was maybe cars in Russia have single stage paint?

Then I realized I shouldn’t post such nonsense... I’m glad I didn’t Half Million Views for Single Stage Paint Article.

It’s not surprising to me the thread was so widely viewed. Most of us who frequent this forum are “car guys,” so we want to be well informed on how to handle single stage paint should we ever have an opportunity to work on it. Kudos to you Mike for sharing your knowledge.

True. That's how it went for me. I was fortunate to have already read the threads from Mike several times before any SS paint job came my way. And I knew what to do when it did come

Re: Half Million Views for Single Stage Paint Article

The 500k views article was how I found this forum And it was a research of restore SS paint. I'm with a car scene here in Sweden where it's many american classic cars. We call it "Cruising" and is a meet where we gathers together and drive around in different cities and towns in a outlaid route every week and mostly saturdays. Many is in this caravan and also many comes out to look at the american classic cars. The bigger meets is called Power Meets and start with a market with used and new spare parts and clothes for the old times and some detailing products too. Meguiars Sweden is often there but do you know they don't have #7 in Sweden. So I wait until I get a project to do the #7 rub down and ordering from a country they have it in. It's so awesome to just look at the transformation it does on pictures you guys share. Would be awesome to test it out sometime myself And there are a lot of cars in Sweden that would need it too LOL. Even if many american classics is in really great shape. The paint is often in need of some TLC.
