It's 3D's proprietary abrasive technology.
Here is the results one can expect form 3D HD Speed, as used on a 1996 Dodge Ram.

While you're at it...
Might as well include CAT:
(conglomerate abrasive technology).

using a machine is going to do a better (and more even) job working the product (smat or dat) in (especially around the whole/entire car) thus giving better results more than your hands will ever do. if you're applying an LSP with no cleaners then doing it by hand would be more appropriate than doing it by hand with an AIO unless it's small/tight/spot areas that a polisher obviously can't get into. work smarter not harder. below is an example of why you would want to use a polisher with an AIO..

That looks very nice, which pads did you use to achieve that result?

Nice. You couldn't ask for more from an AIO.

Re: HD speed by hand
i did use hd speed by hand on the hood of my wifes van , and it did produce a very nice shine i can see were a machine would do a better job on a car with a rough finish , but a like new car would do with a job by hand very nice. for longer protection i would follow with a good spray wax.

Sounds like a ton of work to me. I figure - anyone that can afford a car can afford to get into machine polishing.
A machine will always outperform puny humans.
Just sayin...
