What type of Paint issue is this?

Hi Mike just wanted to know what type of paint issue this is? Intense hazed/sun damaged look on the fender. I'm trying to determine if it can be repaired or needs repainting.

Hard to tell what is a reflection and what isn't, but my guess is it's well into the start of clear-coat failure.
Can you get another shot about 3' away for perspective?

That is some severe color change. Is it like that on the lower half of the fender?

@Rsurfer It's not like that on the lower half of the fender. The lower half of it looks normal. Sorry I will grab a better pic when I get back, I see what you mean about reflection. The fender is actually that bad, it's not a reflection of the ground . The paint surface does not reflect anything anymore, it's absolutely hazed and flat on the top area of the fender.

Looks like clear coat failure or severe oxidation, unless its been sanded.

Try and machine polish it and see what happens. If its clear coat failure, only paint will help.

Clear coat failure from a bad blend job? Have you had this car since new?

From the pic, the door, A pillar, and hood all look normal.

This says to me the fender panel was replaced/repainted with an inferior paint job.
