Hello All, skip to second paragraph for question.
i recently had my garage queen Mustang in for an oil change and the tech wiped the dirty car down with rags which and you could imagine completely swirled the paint. They offered to buff and fix damage. Only problem is the person running the buffer had a very poor technique and the entire car has even worse swirls from the buffer all over it.
How do I get my show car shine back? I currently use an MT300 with UC/UP with the 5 inch Megs foam pads. Maroon, yellow, black. I've only started messing around with fixing the issue but I want the paint as flawless as I had it prior to the dealer screw up. Any advice on how to proceed is appreciated as at this point I have to find the time to do the entire car and the hood is likely where I will start. I used some UP and the yellow polishing pad and got some of the swirls, but it looks like I need a little more cut for some of the damage. How does one do this correctly and how do I finish out with a mirror like finish(which I previously had) without any trace of having used a DA. Sorry for the lengthy post but I'm at my wits end trying to have someone else correct the problem when so far it's only been made worse.
