I've been using q tips for hard to reach areas. It can leave just a tad bit of lint some times but it's the only thing I can think of using. Any other suggestions

Can't think of anything better. I use the same for the tight nooks and crannys

When I yanked my original windshield wiper cowl off my 97 Tahoe, I de-conned it best I could, with a paintbrush, APC, rinses, dry, then used DLX with a small artist's brush to apply. I went from one end to the other, on all three pieces.
After application, no touchy.
I went through a lot, but applied a nice thick coat. Waited a good long time before touching.

Hi Frank,
I use (closed-cell) foam-tip swabs
that are ~Q-tip sized; they're readily
available all over the googly-net.
{I've been known to steal some from
the Wife's "make-up store" stash :D}
