Hey all nice folks,

I am going to have my first detailing session this weekend using a Flex. This is of course on my daily driver.

The products I have on hand now are Scholl S3 Gold, S30 S40, Wolfgang DGPS 3, and Collinite 845.

Lets hope I can have some fun and results as well.

Nothing like suiting up for battle on an anticipated detail, that process alone is fun, then waking up and doing it is like Christmas! Have fun and take pics

After doing the normal 8 steps to detail a car be sure to do a Test Spot and dial in your process.

Already looking forward to your results.

We had a bad sand storm here last weekend, so the plans had to be shelved.
Now we are looking better already. So a very basic question.

If I clay, compound, polish and then wax my car, I am going to confirm the order of my products to be used.
I have these products, so I am just confirming the correct sequence, particularly for sealing and waxing.

Claying = Nanoskin Autoscrub Pads and Riccardo blue clay
Compounds = Scholl Concepts S3 Gold and S30
Polishes = Scholl Concepts S40
Sealant = Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
Wax = Collinite 845

Is this the correct order?

yep. Although id say don't waste your time using DGPS and 845, just choose one or the other.

Everything looks good. However I would use either the 845 or DGPS as the base layer and add a different wax such as a normal carnauba paste on top.

How long to allow the wax to cure before wiping off and then top up?

Right now I am on it.

After running about 3-4 passes on the test spot, it seems the swirls have gone, but some dots or grains deep on it, which dont seem to go away.

I am using the LC hybrid orange pads with SC S3 Gold. I have clayed the surface previously using Nano Scrub mats.

My speed setting is around 5 mark. What should I do?

Perhaps these pictures will be clearer with bird dropping marks. Can these be removed without wet sanding?

Being a newbie, I am still learning my technique. So is this an acceptable result, or do I need to work it further ?
