If I do BFWD followed by Fire over Ice carnuba and in 3 months want to reapply BFWD can I just reapply or will the carnuba prevent bonding? Don't want to have break down my sealing job each time but want to try the Ice to see if there is an improvement in the look. The paint will be a 2016 Dodge SRT with a Granite Crystal Metallic. Previously on my silver cars I've just used BFWD every 4-6 months. Thanks.

Allow me to rephrase my question. If I do BFWD and then apply Midnight Sun Ivory Carnuaba can I then reapply BFWD in 4-6 months without using a gloss enhancing polish, just the BFWD, and then perhaps a second coat of Midnight Sun again? Thanks

When layering sealants and waxes, the wax needs to be on top of the sealant as it's less durable. If you start alternating layers of sealant and wax, the sealant applied on top of the wax probably won't last very long as it won't be able to bond to the paint because the "softer" wax is in the way.

After layering the wax on top of the sealant, if you want to go back and re-do the sealant, I'd recommend you polish everything off and start over.

Ok thanks. For sure I would apply the wax over the sealant but given that you recommend to start over when reapplying the sealant I will probably forgo the wax as it get too time consuming and BFWD is pretty great by itself and then using a compatible spray touch up in the meantime.

If you're wanting to experiment:
Why not just apply the Wax to an already
BFWD'ed horizontal panel (hood; trunk lid)?

After ~3 months the Wax on those panels
has probably degraded to the 'vanishing-point'..
and in need of being "refreshed" anyway.
