My buddy recently attended a local car show here in Denver, Co(Denver Auto Show @ Convention Center) and he picked up these new drying towels during a demo I've never seen them before. The way he described how the towel works sounds exactly like a chamois but better? Anyone have any info on these things? I'm a true believer of chamois scratching car paint so a little skeptical on trying this out. The towels came in a pack of 3 and are colored.

It is one of those chamois.

The ones selling on Amazon listed them as "commercial grade rayon."

A Google search for "100% Rayon Drying Towel" is all ShamWow type products.

I was never impressed with the sham wow the absorber worked much better if you want a non microfiber towel, heck the old sal Zaino recommended 100% made in USA cotton bath towels worked well 15+ years ago.

Copied from Wikipedia... "Rayon#is a manufactured regeneratedcellulose fiber. It is made from purifiedcellulose, primarily from#wood pulp, which is chemically converted into a soluble compound. It is then dissolved and forced through a#spinneret#to produce filaments which are chemically solidified, resulting insynthetic fibers#of nearly pure cellulose.[1]Because rayon is manufactured from naturally occurring#polymers, it is considered a#semi-synthetic#fiber.[2]#Specific types of rayon include#viscose,#modal#and#lyocell, each of which differs in manufacturing process and properties of the finished product."

No thanks...I'll take my microfiber any day over this piece of paper.

Shamwow was TERRIBLE. I thought rayon was a silky like product?

Well finally found out the brand of the towel and it's called "Camelback Super Chamois" does anyone use their shammy for anything else besides exterior and found it actually useful?
