I am just about to place an order and have a question about McKee's paint coating. Can it be applied to trim, clear plastics, chrome, glass? I have looked around for these answers, sorry if I missed it.

They offer a separate glass coating and wheel coating. You may be able to apply it to trim or headlights but not sure about the durability on those surfaces.

Thanks for the response. Also wondering if I need to tape those areas off.

No... With McKee's paint coating (DP) there's no need to. As with All nano-glass ceramic coating, a little goes a long way. If any of the product is spayed on plastic/ rubber and so forth. Will not cause any harm....I have used this coating and Black Label Diamond paint coating. If there" s trim between the paint panel I spay there as well.

So, sounds ok to purposely apply it to those areas? I'm mainly thinking headlights, black trim (around the wheel wells). What are your thoughts on chrome?

I use Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. For everything other than paint and glass. It shines and protects even Chrome...Just for Chrome and it's cheaper, I love Klasse All in one. 10 0z is 14.00... I even use it to polish jewelry.
