What's your favorite tire dressing and why? I still havne't found anything that I like on my Tacoma's tires, a set of Dumlop Duelers, I find that almost anything looks good on my wifes Jeep w/ Michelin LTX M/S tires.

I'm not that picky about the level of gloss, but I want them to look BLACK and would prefere something that wasn't to greasy.

Chemical Guys VRP. Drys to the touch, doesnt sling, very short drying time, can be applied by hand or sprayed on, water based.

PB's BNB ..nice even finish with no streaking,no sling and leaves a matte look...Armor tire gel is another nice product but IHMO it works better on a smooth surface...

My favorite is Pinnacle Black Onyx. A little goes a long way and it out lasts anything else I have tried.

I think that's part of my problem... I like the way smooth surfaces look better than the all the ribbing, etc. on my Dunlops... :(:(:( Additionally, like I said, they just don't look as BLACK as the Michelins.

Anyone ever tried putting something like DG 271 or something similar on a tire to make it blacker? I thought about trying this on an old tire first just to see what would happen. Any thoughts?

Dp and optimum.

I agree with Optimum! It's my favorite :D. I haven't used DP though so I can't say anything about that. Optimum is a matte gloss and it's lasted me 3 weeks, and it's still looking good. Here's pictures of the first time application:

Ok mines going to be an otc, but love Armor All Extreme Gel, so easy to apply and very thin/watery consistancy so it doesn't glob up in areas of A/T tires that some other gels do (Megs Endurance was crappola). About 2 weeks durability, but only apply a thin coat as the bling bling effect comes after setting lol. I made the mistake once of putting two coats on thinking the 1st wasn't good enough, didn't know you have to wait like 5-10 minutes for the look, my tires looked like they were reflecting a pool of water :D

This is an older pic but think it was like almost 2 weeks along with some rain, held up great

my goodyear all weather tires are ribbed as well.that is why i like PBs BNB water base..The armor all gel works great on a smooth surface buy dosen't finish well on ribbed tires..

i have used Megs Hot Shine ..i hated the product ..it caused the wheels to become greasy combine that with break dust and heat and it was a long process cleaning the wheels..

Mothers FX tire shine wasn't one of favs either i used it up on the wheel wells until it was gone...

Have you tried megs hyper drssing ..a 32oz bottle goes all long way and you can play around with the dilution ratios to adjust the finish to your liking

heres a pic of a 300C wearing PBs BNB..looks quite nice
