Hi,

I just purchased a Flex 3401, and wife has "told" me I need to show her shampooing our carpets using it before it is put to correct use :eek::eek:

So I tried to put the brush attachment on to the Flex, and I remembered reading somewhere, that these attachments are to be screwed on, after removing the OEM backing plate. I have this white attachment (link (http://www.autogeek.net/porter-cable-brushes.html)).

Can someone confirm this kindly?
Thanks.

Is there any other brush attachment for 3401?
As the reviews for this brush are not very encouraging.

Or a screw adapter to allow my existing brush to be attached to the 3401 ?

Buy a Less expensive DA and dedicate it to brushes and smaller polishing pads

Constantly changing out the BP on your FLEX is a time killer

I've had success using this with that brush: Griots Garage 3 Inch Orbital Polisher, 3 Inch Polisher, 3 inch Dual Action Polisher, 3" buffer (http://www.autogeek.net/griots-orbital-polisher.html)

For that GG3 inch, was it an easy attachment? Any adapters needed or special process?

That GG3 doesn't have enough power to effectively use that brush for carpet cleaning. You'd need at least a PC or a GG6. I have a GG6 with that brush and I tried to use it in my shower to clean it and I got better results with a 3M Dobie by hand than with the machine.
