I want to understand how to safely remove calcium/lime from paint and glass. At my job we park cars under the garage deck and sometimes when it rains the cars have calcium/lime. We normally use CLR but I don't think this is safe for the car.

When I lived in ny,I use to get a lot of those lime cars.from my experience I used a acid based cleaner much stronger than clr.what ever was left from the stain was either sanded or compounded.I would maybe have a professional look at for you. They sell a product called iron x that may remove it.with no pics hard to tell.

I don't have any pic at the moment. I did on my old phone but it stop working and had to get it replace. I will keep my eyes on the cars at work and take pic of calcium/lime if I find one.
