If I don't have any of the DP Glass Restorer around, can a compound or polish like UC/M105 or UP/M205 be used with any good effect on my Windshield and other car glass?

I have certainly used m105/m205 in the past on the windshield with decent results though a suggestion would be to use test it out on one of your side windows first just to make sure it suits your taste, also don't forget to wipe the glass thoroughly with IPA to remove all polish once done

Try claybar w/plenty of lube 1st. You might be happy with the results. I know I was..

On my side windows, I was able to remove a bunch of contaminants [white specs] and it made a huge difference. Especially since my side windows are tinted, so they look totally black & clear now.

McKee's Fast Polish with white hybrid pad and Flex 3401 did wonders on my windows. There was some sort of staining on mine from the factory and it cleaned it right up. Made them smooth as butta.
