Couple shots of my daily driver canvas convertible top. It is garages but sees a 140 mile round trip commute 2-4 days per week. Cleaned with 303 cleaner and 2 applications of fabric guard back in August. Salt rinses right off and as you can see it beads great. About 10,000 miles in 6 months.

For those that will use 303 Fabric Guard on interior seats..keep well ventilated and wear a long sleeve shirt with gloves. 303 is very toxic to the skin.

Good to know. Did you have problems with skin contact already? I guess there is a warning on the bottle?

I've never heard this b4. I use this stuff all the time, never noticed any warnings. Now I'm worried.

I'm pretty thick skinned, so I thought..broke out with a bad rash on both arms. This woke me up on how strong some chemicals can be.

I've used 303 Fabric Protectant, but only while the matts were outdoors and waiting to let sit in the sun to dry and same for the top..

How would you rate Scotchgard as far as the fumes? I think they're also on the potent and unapealing side for fabrics that need protecting in the interior.. So much so that I've passed on the step at times. The strong smell totally kills all pleasant things about the final presentation to the customer. Kinda hard to convince that pungent smell is somehow a good thing. Lol.

:iagree:Haven't used Schotchgard, but used GTechniq I1 and the odor is super strong.

Nice beading shots. What is the vehicle? How old is the car and top?

Top is off a 2003 cobra with about 40k on it. But it's riding my 96 GT 😁

I currently use GTechniq I1 myself and I agree on the odor. It is awful and I use it on my cloth seats and carpet. I have to leave the windows down for a day or two for the smell to go away. Can anyone compare GTechniq to 303 fabric guard? I may be interested in switching. How is the smell of 303 and does it linger? I can clearly see how well it works and for my application it will be on the inside and not exposed to the elements.

When I used it on interior during the summer, it took a couple days to cure.
