Last night we held the first Thursday night Show Car Garage detailing class for 2016! More to come in the future.

Our project was a 1985 GMC Rally Van with single stage metallic paint that has oxidized since it was painted a year ago.

After thoroughly washing and rinsing, we re-foamed the Van and then used the Pinnacle Clay Mitt to mechanically decontaminate the paint.

Had a great time working on this van with the faithful group of guys and meeting and talking with the new folks.

Enjoyed trying out the new tools and products. Really liked the new Rupes MKII 15 & 21 polishers, they do handle curved surfaces better than the previous model. I think the 15 is the smoothest of the two, sweet machine.

Also liked the new McKee's Tire Gloss Gel. It's similar to the DP Tire Gel but thicker, whiter in color and has a better fragrance. One coat gave the tire a nice look, not too shiny, just right.

Looks like you used the "A-Team" to detail that van.

I loved taking trips in conversion vans as a kid. Nothing beat sitting on a Flexsteel captains chair watching 80's classics on VHS.

Not the typical show car that is in the garage. I like seeing cars like this from my childhood that are well preserved or restored. Great work done by all.

Im interested in hearing more feedback on the new Flex XFE 15mm. How does it compare to the new Rupes 15 mark II etc.
