Had a call the other day to an exterior on a Rinker 270 boat. Owner said it had " a little " oxidation. No worries. Well, what he meant was that there was a little blue coloring showing though the oxidation! My old WEN rotary died last week and I haven't picked up a new rotary yet. He was kinda in a hurry to get it done so figured I'd put my Griot's G21 to the ultimate test! It performed great as expected. I used Griot's Microfiber pads and a few Meguiars DMC pads (went though 5 or so of each even with cleaning after every section ). Pads did a good job chewing though the oxidation with minimal heat build up. The Megs pads did seem to get warmer that the Griot's, maybe due to no hole in the center like the Griot's pads have. I used Griot's new Fast Correcting Cream. Worked great on the gel-coat with easy wipe off and no dusting. I will say, as with most polishes, not to let it sit too long or it will get really tacky and hard to remove. It finished off nicely, but did not have a real long working time. I would have liked a few more passes out of it. I have not used it on automotive paint yet, so it may just be due to the gel coat absorbing some of it. Either way, for not having a rotary to use on this beast, which should have been the only option, the G21 and MF pads along with the BOSS Correcting Cream did a great job!!! I could only upload these pics, the others all failed for some reason, but they are all on my FB page for your viewing pleasure!
