Included in the box are,

Griot's BOSS G10 Pneumatic Polisher
24mm wrench
Owner's manual

5" Griot's Vented Orbital Backing Plate

The G10 pneumatic polisher comes equipped with either a 5 or 6 inch vented backing plate (your choice).

The G10 pneumatic polisher has the shape of a traditional pneumatic palm sander except she's a little smaller than average sized palm sanders making it lighter in weight and very easy to hold and grip.

http://www.marine31online.com/gallery/data/583/Griots_BOSS_G10mm_003.jpg

The Paddle Throttle Control lever like most palm sanders is located at the top of the tool. As you grip the tool the palm of you hand depresses the lever bringing the polisher up to the speed set by the throttle.

The owner's manual is well written, comprehensive, detailed and complete. It walks you through how to assemble the tool for use plus recommendations for best performance when correcting, polishing and waxing paint.

Quick-Connect Air Fitting (not included)
In order to use the G10 pneumatic polisher you'll need to get a 3/8" x 1/4" quick-connect air fitting and using some thread tape attach it to the air inlet. You can pick one of these fittings up plus the thread tape at any hardware store.

How different is this polisher from the 3M pneumatic palm sander

I found the 3M machine, great for sanding, but ineffective for compounding even 3000 grit scratches

I think between they're threads I posted I addressed both topics you bring up.

I also have an article on using the 3m sander to polish paint as wellcasvan article on the history of polishing paint using DA sanders.

This tools is different - it works.

Yeah my hunch is Jeff was behind the introduction of this new tool or at least a part of the team.

At his core he's passionate about cars and car detailing.

Your hunch is right !

Jeff helped developed the machine and told me all about it!

He wanted to demonstrate it at MTE Orlando but he had no access to a air compressor , can't wait to try out that thing looks very promising and Jeff told me its a defect terminator.

Do you know if Jeff has any plans to develop a better 3" dedicated machine like the Rupes Lhr75e? Id be all in for that!

I asked! I'm highly anticipating a mini boss I think it would do exceptionally well.

However releasing the Boss system was a big feat for the team at Griots and Jeff brown really worked his tail off on that whole entire system and it is nothing short of amazing.

Hopefully in the near future we will be using a mini boss.

Can you imagine how sweet that thing will look ?
