Richard Griot and his team have hit another home run!

The new Griot's BOSS G10 Pneumatic Polisher is the BOMB!

Nick came into my office yesterday and asked me if I could take the new Griot's BOSS G10 Pneumatic Polisher out for a test drive? I said…. hell yes! I have a 1939 Chevy 5-window coupe coming in for a show car makeover and a 1985 GMC Van coming in for an extreme makeover!

My comments...

Superb fit and finish
When I removed it from the box I was impressed with the appearance of the tool. The fit and finish for all the components are tight and exact. There is no sloppy feel or look to any part of the tool. It feels like quality when you hold it in your hand, it’s a pro grade looking and a pro grade feeling serious air tool.

Power and performance!
When you hook it up to your air line and turn it on you’ll be just as impressed by its operation as its performance matches its appearance. The tools operation is smooth and balanced, without vibration throughout the OPM range. The thumb throttle is perfectly located to enable you to power down or power up with the press of your thumb throughout the OPM range.

Lightweight.
Compact.
Ergonomic design.
Use with compounds for removing swirls, scratches, water spots and oxidation.
Use with polishes to perfect paint and maximize gloss, depth and shine.
Seal the paint using your favorite car waxes or synthetic paint sealants.
Machine apply your favorite cleaner/waxes and AIO’s for one-step paint restoration.
Versatile - use it with Griot’s microfiber or foam pads.

With this new air powered 10mm orbit stroke dual action polisher you can,

Correction work
Griot’s new BOSS G10 Pneumatic Polisher has TONS of power! So pad rotation is never an issue. This means there’s plenty of power for doing correction work with both microfiber pads and foam cutting pads.

Polishing
The 10mm orbit stroke is perfect for polishing paint to perfection! The tool feels smooth in your hand without vibration for easy polishing any car any paint.

Waxing
The thumb throttle provides absolute control over speed so when you’re ready to machine apply a wax or synthetic sealant simply reduce the speed to quickly machine apply a layer of protection.

One word... impressed! :dblthumb2:

Air Polishing is HERE!
If you’ve been dreaming of an air powered dual action orbital polisher then it’s time to WAKE UP! Because your dream has come true.

I was around back when people tried to use the old style pneumatic palm sanders as dual action polishers. While it kind of worked… they just didn’t have the power to do the job. Not so with this new Griot’s design. Don’t let its lightweight, compact design fool you because this tool can get the job done.

Good stuff! Looks very impressive.

First thing that comes to mind is how will it behave in a machine sanding application.

Throw on an interface pad and trizact foam finishing disc and give it a run Mike.

My thoughts exactly. I think this would also be excellent for claying the car with the nanoskin disks.

Would be PERFECT for Nanoskin Autoscrub, using my G15 one handed with an Autoscrub pad while I spray Glide with the other. Well it works, but it's a bit awkward. I don't own a air compressor but I'm going to look into how much I'd have to spend to get one that would power this.

I thought the same thing and then I read the owners manual. On the inside of the first page it specifically states this tool is not for sanding or grinding but for the sole purpose of compounding, polishing and waxing paint.

Could be a bubba-proofing disclaimer because there's a lot of bubbas in the world but if we go by the manufacturer's statement it's not for machine sanding.

My guess is it would work just fine especially with high grit discs like Mirka Abralon #3000 and #4000 and 3M Trizact #3000 and #5000

Note Mike Phillips isn't suggesting this tool be used like this just hypothetically thinking out loud as that's what detailers do.

Thank you for the good words. This is just a sign of many things to come. We've got our foot on the gas and will continue to bring exciting new products to give Detailer's killer results and a little more energy to bring home to their families.

The G10 is stated for polishing only, as there are safety precautions required for sanding that complicate the launch of tools.

3M recommends 5/16" throw for Trizact. I've tested the G10 3/8" -10mm throw with Trizact and Mirka. It performs well. As long as one follows the recommended safety precautions and protection recommended by their abrasive mfg, it is ok to you the G10 for sanding

Thanks for chiming in Jeff and I loved this tool.

I'm pretty sure you've been around long enough to remember the first attempts at polishing paint using an air powered DA sander?

This new tool Griot's has introduced is the real deal.

Are there any plans in Griots future for an updated 3" dedicated machine like the Rupes LHR75E?

I have been eyeballing this machine and now you've sealed the deal for me Mike. No pun intended.
