Best steel wool to clean dirty exhaust & chrome rims?

I need to super clean my chrome rims & exhaust tips... Which still wool is best? I already got the metal polish cream.

And also, can you use a sonax wheel cleaner with the exhaust tips or no?

I'll sometimes use steel wool with Megs Cleaner wax, but if your choice is to use with plain water I'd probably opt to use it without anything because adding water will only encourage rust. No?

My fav brand is Rhodes American.
Yea, you can use Sonax wheel cleaner on the exhaust.

0000 steel wool, you can use it dry, but I always use water and an apc

I don't or never used it dry,99 percent of steelwool usage is with glass cleaner or apc.

As the others said. 0000 steel wool and I use CLR to lube it and knock down some of the rust and/or crud

I had some hard water stains on my chrome bumper and nothing seemed to work untill I tried some brillo pads, they were the magic bullet and my bumper looks like new. All I did was add water, they were allso amazing on my raised white letter tires they got whiter then any tire cleaner ive ever used.

I had to take the cat to the vet earlier today... All the way up there the cat was whining and moaning... It wasn't until this thread that I finally realized what her big fuss was about. Look at the rusted chrome she had to look at! Lol.
