Around new years a fellow AGO'er bought me a G15 out of the blue. Was SHOCKED, and have been a bit bummed because for a few weeks we shockingly had horrible, un-detailable weather in So Cal. Then I was working working working and didn't have any time to use it.
Well, today I had some free time and got around to playing with it. A little background, the only polishing experience I've had was 25 years ago on with my dads stupid handle on each size medium pizza looking junk buffer.

Looked like this, was not fun to use at all from what I remember lol.
So I had a few hours today, I did a waterless wash with Wolfgang UBER. Then I used a Nanoscrub 6" + Glide on the hood. ANd finished with a quick going over with Carpro Essence. Remember, I've never polished with a real polisher so I was trying to pay attention and learn, hopefully my results will improve greatly by the next time I use it.

We have a little bit of everything, dirt, bird poop and stupid tree fallout. As a man of a million excuses, my car's never this dirty. I've been working 7 days a week for a month, blah blah blah... This probably well exceeds the recommended dirty level for a waterless wash, but I used a lot of solution and a bunch of Shine & Buff towels.

Used the towel you see to wipe off the Glide after the Nano Scrub. No pics, but I used some stupidly expensive yellow Polish Angel polish removal towels to remove Essence.
I have no in between pics, and I was having a time with my camera getting the exposure settings, I wanted some good 50/50 shots. But I was just unable to get ones that you could see well. Silver SUCKS lol.
My Window was FILTHY

Please don't ask why I took a macro looking shot of my window. It was bad though

After the nano and hit with Scholl Concept's ICE Gel glass cleaner. AG sells Scholl, they SHOULD carry this *hint hint*

So bad exposure settings on my camera + the sun at a weird angle = not the best pics. Tomorrow when it's sunny I plan to take a few better ones and add to this thread.

Different angel, pretty good reflection, you can't do much with silver. Well, I can't seem to any ways.
Oh, this was suppose to be a review of the G15.
FANTASTIC machine! It's smooth, feels balanced, isn't overly loud and was a joy to work with. My technique sucks, so my end results were sorely lacking. I have a few light scratches I wanted to get out. I tried Scholl Concept Honey Spider Pad + their S30+ which would be the least aggressive combo I have. NOTHING. Ok, so I kicked it up to White Spider Pad + S3, made a slight difference. I probably needed to give it another pass or 2. But, the sun was starting to set, so tomorrow I'll try again.
The polisher is great, I have used the MT300 for a quick bit while taking a class at Meguiars HQ, this one feels smoother and with the longer throw works better. I didn't do something right with the Essence and it was a pain to take off. I put a small amount on the pad and primed it, gave it one spray of BF Pad Conditioner then put 4 pea sized dots. I started @ speed 1 and once it was spread well kicked it up to speed 3 (I have the washer mod) and gave it about 5 medium slow passes in a 2x2 area. Wasn't impossible to remove, but should have came off easier, I think lol. Well I'll go watch a YT video as I'm sure my technique was pretty bad. Seeing how I have a high end polisher, good pads and top rated compounds + polishes I can't exactly blame it on anything but me.
More pics tomorrow.
