White paint is boring! I sure do love it on my daily driver though. Pretty easy to maintain and I don't even see any need to polish honestly. I know it would look better but not sure it would be worth it. What about you other white vehicle drivers? Do you bother polishing or just let it be?

Sometimes, white needs to be polished.

My Dad's ride. He hunts, and takes the car through trails.

I can definitely see a significant difference there. Looks like you did a great job. What kind of truck is it?

Thanks!

I was just messing around one day last spring/summer with it. I used it as a test bed for machine/pad/product experiments.

It's a 2006 Dodge Charger.

Ah, I assumed it was a truck lol. Either way, big difference. I suppose if I actually had a machine, I would be tempted to go to town on it.

I love my white car. Granted, you will never get that mirror reflection in the middle day (need shade for white to reflect) BUT you can get it to really pop. There is a HUGE difference between a well maintained white car and one that is just washed. Personally, I love OPT..easy to use and gets the white really bright. Second, as mike stated, the key to making white look good is contrast...make the black as dark as you can and the white as white as possible.

That's a great point about making the black pop. There is a LOT of it on my Xterra too. Those before and after pics of the light reflection may have just sold me on polishing my X. I knew I shouldn't have made this thread :buffing:

White paint may be boring, but it can shine up nicely. Did my wife's 300 last fall. Nanosponged it, Blackfire TPS then a coat of 845. Looks much better than it did before.

Optimum Hyper Polish Spray, Optimum spray polish, hyper spray polish, Optimum car polishes (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-hyper-polish-spray.html)

great stuff...can alter the amount of cut by which pad you use. SUPER easy to use and fast.

I find white to be more challenging than black! With black you can see defects very easy, but you think you got white nailed than look at it under a street light and anything you missed sticks out like a sore thumb
