Does anyone know if one of those lights that you strap do your head make good swirl mark finders?

Heck yea they do! I never pack my bag for a detail without it.

My only gripe is the seller changed the description of the light mid shipment on me... I paid for the light that was supposed to zoom in and out. I griped about it because I was truly disappointed I wasn't going to get what I set out to buy.. The seller ended up eating half the cost. In the end the thing only cost me like $6! Lmao. Claims to be 1600 lumens. Yes the China man lies about the specs but who cares... The light is bright as the sun and other than the lack of zoom I have nothing to complain about.

I also carry a "2000 lumen" Led flashlight from our China seller... That light is gold!

Sweet. I'll look like someone's embarrassing dad but it'll get the job done.

Yea... You must have a screw what the neighbors think mentality when using this thing😂lol.
It's totally worth it because afterall, what the heck do they know? Their cars are thrashed. Lol.

Just get yourself some half decent batteries on the side. They don't have to be $30 Panasonics but they oughta be better than what they'll include with your light. Because the ones included tend to be the bottom of the barrel. Good tip is to find a trusty USA seller for the batteries and save him for future batteries. I have a guy already.🔦

If you want some good batteries for cheap check out Illumn.

$6-$10 bucks per battery?! Lol. That's too rich for my blood.
I'm El Cheapo when it comes to batteries. If I needed quality batteries I might as well buy some real Panasonics. Lol.

I get my batteries @ 4 for $9 bucks + free shipping from USA and I haven't had to replace them in over a year now. Booya!💪🏽lol.

The main thing is you want to avoid batteries that are so weak that they're an actual hazard to use/charge.

I noticed the ones they give you for free became noticably weaker and started to make the chargers light flicker 1 time and I just got a feeling something bad was about to happen... These batteries I have now are strong, last long, and are consistent.

I have a lot of Samsung 18650s, so I'll probably look for a light that uses them.

I need to see how this Sunwayman light does at swril finding. I have one somewhere and I think the dual bulbs would be good.

Holy smokes that thing is Expensive! Not only should it find swirls, you outta be able to spotlight the lunar landing sites if there actually was any. Lol.

Wow that price was shocking >.>

You could buy a Cree Led like mine for as cheap as $9 from our friendly China seller and use your own batteries. I can shine it almost/just about 2 blocks away bright. Plus it's great for finding swirls. And it claims to be a halfway decent weapon in case you need to punch someone. Lol.

I went outside and took a couple pics.
Not bad for about $9 on 1yr old batteries?

It can spotlight the stop sign and past it. I'm happy with its brightness.

HOLY CRUD! That's from a HEADLAMP? Dude! Point in the right direction. I'm buying one of those. That would be perfect for fishing also.

Where's a link Eldorado2K?

Keep in mind when purchasing any flashlight/headlamp for swirl finding 5000K (aka true white) is the sweet spot for swirl finding:

The reason the 5k works better, is it's closes to the sun's natural color you can get and best for showing swirls. As you can see in the image above <5K becomes yellow, and >5K starts to look blue.

AG carries both a Flex and Rupes swirl flashlights:
FLEX Swirl Finder Light (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-swirl-finder-light.html)
Rupes Swirl Finder Pen Light (http://www.autogeek.net/rupes-swirl-finder-pen-light.html)

But if you preferred to go the headlamp route, the Zebralight 600 mkii is a well liked example of a 5K light:

I use a Fenix HP 12 headlamp. Very good headlamp. Works great for swirl finding and interiors. Expensive but absolutely worth it.
