Hey everyone. I just wanted to give an update to the post I made back on 1/20. I was doing a cut, polish, and seal on my mother-in-laws 2005 black mustang for her birthday. I ran into the following below...

It turned out I didn't have the right products to properly address this pitting. After some discussion with forum members, I decided to pick up a lake country wool buffing pad for the Flex 3401xc and some Meg's 105 and 205. I am happy to report that most of the pitting is gone after a few passes and really engaging the paint. There are still some around, but I didn't want to run the risk of eating clear for blemishes you have to struggle to see. I highly recommend these products.

That looks A LOT better than it originally did. Now the trick is get your mother-in-law to actually not let it get like that again.

Good job!

That paint has already failed :( .... so it just got a nice polish. My previous mustangs did the same thing.

just goes to show you what the flex 3401 (tried and true all these years) coupled with the right pads/products can do...
