Hey guys,
Got my XPEL installed last week. I have some concerns about the install. I was expecting the car to look better than when I dropped it off but I was disappointed. There are air bubbles in the film, trim not cut correctly, moisture from the soap they used to install it and it makes the car appear to have a lot of road rash when it doesn't.

I was told that it should correct itself over the next couple of weeks. We will see, that may be true for some of the air bubbles but the triming and peeling of the edges will not be fixed by simply waiting.

What are my options at this point? I have reached out to the installer but no response yet.

As of now, I am regretting spending the money to get this done. Worse case I can remove it and chalk it up to an expensive $1700 lesson.

Thanks for all the assistance.

I have reached out to the installer but no response yet.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing
such dismal results.

I'll suggest to:
-First...Wait to hear back from the installer

-Then...If you are not satisfied with his assistance,
or lack thereof: Contact XPel's HQ.

I would just go there in person,he maybe trying to dodge you.If you paid with cc call them and see what is possible.after 7 days there should be some improvement but that bottom lip is very questionable.

Contact the installer for sure. $1,700...WOW! Did you have the whole car done? Serious question.

I had the entire front end, hood, lights, front of roof, A-Pillars, Rocker panels all the way back and inside the doors, kick panels and done with top of the line Premium Shield Elite material - Clear like glass, with a lifetime warranty for $600.

I've had at least a dozen cars done and the very most I've spent was $700 on a large SUV. Same installer for all of them.

Everything hinges on the installers' abilities/capabilities...

Where are you located. I can see if i can find you a reputable installer. Some of those things should clear up, but the air bubbles will not. Since i am also a certified installer i can help you find one that can take a look and really tell you if it can be fixed, or i can put you in touch with someone from Xpel

I had the same areas done, the price seemed in line for my area. I am located in north Houston.

I am thinking if he can't resolve the issues, I can hopefully get at least the bumper redone by another shop for hopefully around 500 or so

I agree with FUNX650 and refreshauto.

Definitely get Xpel in the loop. Some of what I could see in your pictures is simply unacceptable...and I think Xpel will feel the same. Xpel as a company seems pretty customer focused. I would not be surprised if this gets resolved without your opening your wallet.

I had my C7 Corvette Z06 totally done in Xpel Ultimate. Want you paid for the work was reasonable.

Clarity Detailing (Eldridge/529) shows up around here sometimes and according to their photos do GREAT work. Maybe see if Xpel will work it out with them to get you fixed up. There's also a guy down off the Westpark Corridor between Beltway and 59 whose work I've seen first hand and it is TOP NOTCH.
