I heard some people saying that after a certain amount of times (a couple of months, they claim) all of the auto detailing products use their effect...

Is this true? If so I better start using some stuff up :(

The only time I've ever noticed a product go bad is when I've left it in my garage during the winter and it froze. Also, if you don't put lids on tight I've had paste wax dry out.

If you keep them inside, sealed up, and shake them a few times a month, you'll be fine for a long time.

Ive got waxes that are left in cold dark area and still fine after more than a year. As offered, shake well, close properly, and store outside of extreme heat and cold.

Stored under these conditions you should only be concerned after about three years or so.

FWIW- Pure chemicals last a long time, its when you formulate them (mix with other chems) their useful 'life' is effected
