Meguiars 5" DA pads

Has anyone used the new Megs thin pads on a LC backing plate? If so, what size backing plate and how were the results?

They work fine with the 5" LC plate. Results are the same as the Meguiar's backing plate.

the 5" pads measure about 5.5" so any 5" plate will work

I have the previous yellow and black 5" backing plate from Meguiar's and the 5" LC backing plate. I noticed no difference with either one.

i've been using the 5" DA backing plate for years and they are compatible with all the pads (megs, lc, b&s) i've used on it with no ill effects...

this is with the 4 3/4 backing this is what i use on the new thin pads

gives a little bit more room for tight polishing, but if you like the 5 inch then buy all means thats cool

My LC 5" backing plate measures 4"7/8ths.
So do the Meguiars Thin Foam Pads.
They work great together.

Looks like a good combo. I'm wishing I hadn't bought a dozen LC flats and instead went for these Megs thins.

if you look close the hook n loop part of the pad is around 4 7/8 smaller then the foam
