This beautiful ride was given to us with 8000 miles, and treated very well by it's owner.

This was my first time using Optimum Pro Coatings, and I must say it does make a difference. The overall look and feel of this paint is amazing. Optimum went out of their way to ensure I had the right level of support to ensure no issues with this application. Special thanks to Chris Thomas who fielded my numerous emails and phone calls. I (and the customer) appreciate it!

After foaming the car, as you can see for 8,000 miles there was a ton of iron on the paint. Optimum Ferrix made quick work of it.

There were numerous paint chips that needed to be taken care of

Doctor Colorchip never fails

Do you see this tiny speck that is circled? Well, no matter how much I hit it with compound i couldn't get it out. So I decided to put it under the microscope and was astonished at what I saw

This "rust" was on the hood of an 8000 mile car, in multiple spots. Even though its the size of a pinhead, stopping this in it's tracks with the Dr. Colorchip system is essential to worry free longevity.

The car overall had some light swirls, but like any German paint, they sure are stubborn and require the big guns.

We cut the paint with Pinnacle Advanced Compound, and a G21, G15 and Flex PE8 using a microfiber pad.

http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o741/Scott_Birdie/2015%20BMW%20X5/pic9_zpse5hs4qv2.jpg (http://s1341.photobucket.com/user/Scott_Birdie/media/2015%20BMW%20X5/pic9_zpse5hs4qv2.jpg.html)

Once we had the car compounded, we were ready to polish and coat using the Optimum Pro Plus System.

http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o741/Scott_Birdie/2015%20BMW%20X5/pic10_zpssgssa6so.jpg (http://s1341.photobucket.com/user/Scott_Birdie/media/2015%20BMW%20X5/pic10_zpssgssa6so.jpg.html)

The Pro Plus coating process is rather lengthy, but what I love about it is the fact it dries and can hit the road in an hour if need be versus letting a vehicle sit overnight or under infrared lights.

Once the vehicle is defect free, we applied their prep polish with a G21 yellow pad, neutralized the paint with Optimum Paint Prep, and started coating with step 1 Opti-Pro. The coating goes on relatively easy, but is quite tacky and takes a little getting used to versus Opti-Gloss which is super smooth.

Step 2 is within 30-60 minutes, pro plus is applied. The entire process for this truck took about 2 hours. The second Pro Plus is applied, the tackiness is gone and the paint becomes slick.

The results:

All lenses were also coated with Opti-Pro

The wheels came out amazing, I am really impressed with the
'pop' factor of Opti-Pro
