2010 Toyota Prius ~ 2003 Honda Element ~ 1997 Holiday Rambler Vacationer

My part time detailing business has been doing well. I have made a couple of key contacts and if things go as planned I should get a steady stream of quality referrals. I continue to invest in better equipment. My latest purchase was the SunJoe SPX 3000 and foam canon with a 50ft hose. I am very happy with the combination and it performed as needed/expected.

The Prius is owned by the wife of the guy who owns the blue Sonata I did the day before Thanksgiving. She is the next-door neighbor of the woman who owns the Ford Excursion and Mustang that I did a while ago. The Honda Element is owned by a neighbor 2 doors down from the owner of the Excursion. So, I’m spreading like a plague in the neighborhood! ☺ The woman who owns the Excursion also introduced me to the shop owner of that white Chevelle I did and Holiday Rambler you see below. Through her I’ll end up doing at least 9 vehicles.

The RV won’t get polished until Thur as I’m waiting on supplies.

The Prius was a straight forward wash and seal. The Element had some paint correction. The Element has some VERY faded/dirty exterior plastic. PERL did a great job making it look great again. I strongly suggested DLUX treatment, but the owner will paint the plastic and wheels soon. They really love their Element…in Element forums and go to meets. Both vehicles had clean interiors, which was a nice change of pace for me.

By the glossiness of that rv you should be able knock that out of the park in a day's work nice job on cars.

GSKR: We'll see. It's the same one I posted about the other day with clear coat failure. Up close it looks pretty bad. I'm very curious how long it will take and how many pads I need. The tedious part will be using a ladder instead of scaffolding. I'll be investing in some scaffolding after this job. I can use it for jacked up trucks too, of which there are many around here.

I have always enjoyed doing a car for a neighbor. After it has been completed I always start getting asked "can you make my car look like it was just painted"

The hard part is convincing them that the only way to keep the car looking nice is to never take it to a "car wash". I tell them how they can wash it themselves or I will be happy to do it for them (for a fee, of course).

Sorry to say most folks don't maintain it properly and by the next year they look just awful again. Unless I was able to talk them into a coating process.

Can you say how long the RV took to complete? It looks sensational.

People are sometimes out there. We cleaned and fixed up your car so it is in good condition compared to the last time. =/
