Do they play nice together?

They should. I've never used and of the hd line, but hear good things of them.

Hydrotech pads have always performed well for me.

It depends on the paint. Sometimes the cell structure of the HydroTech pads causes Speed to stick on the paint... which is weird because this product normally wipes off effortlessly. As always, do a test spot. This is why I never stick with just one product line. Having a range of pads, foam types, etc. allows for on-the-spot troubleshooting.

I have used CUT and ADAPT with great results with hydrotech tangerine pads.
