So I found a carpet extractor (Edic 5 Star 401TR) on ebay for $211 that goes for $1600 new. Would this be a good carpet extractor for interior detailing?

Owner says it runs and maintenance was performed on it but it doesn't come with attachments.

Deal doesn't sound right I would pass, and those attachments are very pricey.for personal use get a bissel, for a business a different level.

Not sure if you found it on ebay but I was searching 'aztec carpet extractor' in the search box and that happened to pop up. It makes me question if it was stolen?

There's no maintenance on those machines,it's a nozzle and a motor the best proactive thing you can do as far as longevity is keep it clean.

Haha. If that's the 1st thing your gut is telling you, then maybe you should pass. Especially since it comes with zero attachments. Could be a costly PITA for you to buy on your own. Not to mention does it even work properly.. How does someone even have a specialized machine like this yet not have the attachments? Smells fishy.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna pass on it. The dude has four of those things and says he is lowballing himself. He said he powered it up and everything works fine and hasn't used it on any carpets.

I've been searching around but where I live (Clovis,NM) 90% of the things around here that are sold on CL are either stolen by locals or military members.

Kind of off topic but one of my friends that bought a house got all of his info stolen and a scammer listed his house on CL for rent and a poor gentleman fell for it and gave the deposit to whoever it was and drove 3 1/2 hours to find out that his $800 is gone forever.
