I bought 3 bottles around a year ago (30ml, 2 50ml)

Just recently did my wifes car with half of one 50ml bottle. Will use the other half to work on my dads car. That leaves me with 2 unopened bottles of CQuartz. They are the 2014 version and are unopened in temperature controlled room.

So how long does it keep unopened? I don't really have other cars to work on.

CarPro says one year, there is a date on the bottom of the bottle, its a sticker.

With that said I have used unopened bottle way beyond the one year date and worked just fine.

I got a few bottles during one of the big sales.

Just used the last of the second bottle and I'm fairly sure it has been around three years.

I know I got all of them in the first six months the product was out.

And same story on my OptiCoat 2.0

Bought it years ago and it still works perfectly OK too.

Everything was stored indoors between 58 and 78 degrees year round.

Just looked at mine and they are dated Nov 2014. I'll keep them on hand for future use. This stuff is so good my car that I coated July 2014 is still beading like crazy

Revisiting this old thread. So I still have two bottles of CQuartz from 2014. It is now 2021.

I just purchased a new car and will be detailing and coating it. Any fear or reservations I should have about using these bottles from 2014?

FYI they are OEM sealed and been stored indoors.

If it were me, I wouldn't chance it on a new car. Plus a newer version (3.0) is out. If its not crystalized it may still be good, use it on the other cars.

Let me rephrase, new used car: 2017 with 26K but I think your point remains. Thanks

I agree with Rsurfer. Invest in the newer coatings of theirs as technology in both of the cquartz coatings has changed.

I was organizing the garage a month back and I found 2 unopened carpro gliss from 2017, 1 unopened carpro CQUK from 2018, 1 unopened CQuartz (TI02) and an unopen syringe of Opti-coat. :wowwow:

They were in a gap between my detail bins... Surprisingly, they are all still in a liquid form (I had sealed them in a air tight container).

Not planning to use any of them but I am using them to remind me on a daily basis... not to go crazy and buy too many products. LOL

It also looks like the 3.0 version is easier to apply - wipe on wipe off

I know with the 2.0 version it was a bit more finicky. Had to wait for it to flash before wiping off. And if you waited too long, it was hard to remove.

its the same with the 3.0 , you still have to wait to flash and it is temperature dependent. I dont have the patient for it and I do not want to be buying a bottle everytime I want to correct something so I decided to go with a wipe on wipe off product , something easier to apply. Im putting some type of topper after every car wash anyways , the car always looking like shiny

I had a bottle of UK from 2012 to about 2015 and it completely turned to Krystal and I had to throw it out. I also had a bottle from 2016 through 2020, this time I had sealed it with a piece of duct tape completely around the cap. It was still perfect, and worked perfect on a bumper that I did.

Also found an almost-full bottle of Turtle Wax Endura Tire Coat. I understand these have been discontinued so I need to cherish this bottle:
