Just finished doing my annual winter prep up here in Southern Ontario. Recently had some panels painted and they needed some correction. Decided to document the steps and materials as I went along. Didn't take pictures as hard to photograph the defects I was correcting. This is my personal procedures and products used on my DD and I am a hobbyist not a Pro.

Prep

Wash complete panel with ONRWS to remove dirt
Dry with microfiber drying towel
Inspect one panel at a time for defects using light source - start with the roof and work top to bottom
Circle defects with Magic Marker-pits fill in-specks circle
Sand with least aggressive wet/dry sand paper first to see if Magic Marker lines are coming out-move down by grit until levelled
Finish sand with 3000 grit Trizact on 3" DA
Wipe down with water and paper towel to see if surface is levelled (highs or lows will be shiny)
Wash complete car with ONRW&S to remove sanding dust
Dry with microfiber drying towel
Optional: Regular Soap and water wash if really messy

Polishing

Polish with Orange LC Pad and Optimum Hyper Compound speed 5
(Optimum Compound II)
Polish with White LC Pad and Optimum Hyper Polish Compound speed 4
(Optimum Finish Polish)
Polish with Gray LC Pad and Meguiar’s M305 Ultra Finishing Durable Glaze speed 4
