long time not posting here. I have a family member who will be probably getting a new Ford Explorer Platinum. Dont know if I am allowed to post a link to Fords Explorer platinum site. Looks like a great suv.

I will be probably asked in the near future to do work on it. Plan of attack is foam with a stripper wash, regular two bucket wash, clay and decon, polish and then coat the vehicle in collinite 476s. I will definitely do wheels too and coat the interior and plastic in 303.

How hard is Ford Explorer paint in terms of like a new model? Has anybody got any tips for working with one?

The few Fords that I have done seem to be on the harder side, but with it being new hopefully it will not need much but a light polishing.

Have you tried any combos on your 2015 Escape? Shouldn't be to much different but a test spot will let you know.

I have had Optimum Compound II with a yellow LC flat pad finish out well enough for me on darker ones despite the aggressiveness of them both.
