Hi all,
Does claying (with a quick detailer) remove any of the wax in the process?
I'm assuming that when I'm simply just using a QD to clean my car, I'm not removing wax. Tell me it's not so, lol.
Cheers, Roger

I'm pretty sure it all depends on what kind of clay your using. Hard clay for rough paint with bad contaminents will remove wax, but other clay doesn't. If your clay is soft and your only removing minor contaminents it might not, but theres a chance it will. I know that Sonus Clay doesn't remove wax, so if your using that, it won't remove your wax.

Claying= yes, you will remove most wax. Clay is slightly abrasive (some very abrasive).
QD alone= no, you will not remove wax.

As above...

An abrasive product will remove wax / and a pecentage of a cured sealant

:iagree:I prefer rewaxing/resealing whenever I use a clay bar.

Yes, claying will strip everything that is on your paint.
