Duragloss 501

I just opened what I thought was a new bottle, a bottle I bought a few months ago from the local auto parts store.

How thin is this stuff supposed to be? I shook it vigorously several times for a couple minutes each with no change.

My bottle of 501, you can open the bottle and tip it to apply it to a pad and it runs out on its own. Seems thin to me, but perhaps it supposed to be that way.

Richy sent me a bottle of 501/601 @ 4:1 and it had a thicker consistency, thicker than the 501 straight out of my bottle.

501 is real thin. 601 thickens the mix after a short period of time.

DG states that if you mix the 601 and any of their sealants to use it in a 2hour window. I know it was stated here that mixing and using at a later time was ok but I personally disagree with those statements as 601 is to increase the bonding process.

My bottles are of thick, lotion consistency. I had a bottle of 101 that turned watery. If it doesn't go thick after shaking for a few minutes, give them a call, and see what they say.
