I purchased over $1000 worth of detailing products from autogeek about 4 years ago. Due to orders overseas I did not have a chance to use most of these products before I had to put them in storage. I will be returning stateside in a few months and am not sure what to expect. Will these products still be good to use? Most remain unopened and included polishes, paint cleaners, soap and waxes.

When it comes to car detailing products a good rule of thumb for longevity is 3-5 years if the products are not exposed to extreme heat or extreme cold.

To check your products, start by shaking the product well to re-mix the formula in case there's been any settling out while the products were standing unmoved.

Then pour a little out and look for a uniform appearance and consistency. If all looks well I'd use them.

Sometimes carrying agents in liquid car waxes and liquid synthetic paint sealants will separate out but with enough shaking you can remix to a uniform consistency. If you can't then you might want to replace with new products.

So just go through your inventory and inspect.
