I have a client that spilled some coffee onto her carpet but it's under the drivers seat, also some windex was spilled onto the same area and the carpet turned purple ( carpet is black) the only time you see the spot is when the seat retracts back after getting out the car.

What can I do to get the carpet back black?

If cleaning/steam doesn't work, you could always dye the spot black.

Any black paint will do for that spot.

NO! use a dye made for carpet coloring. Auto parts store should have it.

I'm not quite sure what kind of "mr.DETAILER" you are, but the professionals know the difference between "Rust-Oleum" and "Fabric Dye".

I believe the upholstery and carpet dye that is sold in spray can form is often said to be just paint, similar to spray paint, not actual dye.
