It has been a while since my last detailing post on any forum, so here goes .....
BMW e30 325i Full Detail
The owner of this car, Wikus, phoned me and told me that he has a car he wants to come show me. When he arrived he told me that he nearly cancelled the deal on the car as it had some paint splatter on the driver side of the car, and wanted to know if I would be able to get it off for him. I agreed to have a look at various options to remove the paint safely. Upon walking around the car I noticed that it had been badly 'polished/detailed' and that it has visible buffer trails. I asked Wikus what happened ( he polishes all his cars himself ( has quite a collection for a young person like myself )) and he told me the previous owner sent it for a '3 stage glaze' before Wikus flew down to PE to go view the car. He explained that he doesn't have time to sort it out himself, and that he had been using it daily for around 3 months now with hardly any time to even clean the car. He also told me that he plans to garage the car in the coming weeks as he doesn't want to add too much milleage and would like to use it for shows instead of a daily commute. I immediately suggested we do a full detail to restore the condition of the car and thereafter he can garage it. He agreed on a full detail and we had set a date for the detail.
Fast forward two weeks later and the car was in my possession for 3 full days :grin:

So as always I started out with the interior.
Car got vacuumed, creases got blown out with compressed air, all pannels and leather seats had been cleaned using APC, leather treated with Turtle wax leather cleaner and conditioner ( my new fav btw ), plastics got dressed, windows cleaned, spot cleaned the carpet with my steam cleaner and finally another vacuum.

There were a few spots that I cleaned, only showing one of them here

Next up it was time for a wheel clean, engine bay, chassis clean, door shuds, fuel flap, badges, exhaust tips etc. After that I gave the car a multi-stage wash and dry followed by decontamination

The paint had been there for a while so it was immensely hard to remove. I couldn't find a way to safely remove it from the rubber door strips without causing damage to them. ( If anyone has a few tips for me, feel free to share please )
Afterwards I got to see the true paint condition as the car was now clean and ready for paint correction

After correction the car was treated with a Collinite Wax, all the rubbers had been cleaned and treated, engine bay plastics and rubbers treated, tires had been dressed, windows cleaned and the interior received another wipedown.
