Tried my rookie hands with BlackFire Coating. It was a pain to work with but the end result was nice. Tested it on everything and ended up using it on the entire car (glass and trim). Really gave the trim some depth and clarity. Also worked wonders on the carbon roof and spoiler.

Well done.

Did you do any prep work before the coating?

Nice car too...

Sorry I forgot my steps:

1) Wash
2) Clay
3) Wash
4) Megs Ultimate Compound
5) Megs Polish
6) BlackFire Cleaner
7) BlackFire Coating

The coating was a beast to work with. I could never get a consistent amount to come out of the bottle on the applicator. It would either drip, squirt, or run out of the bottle, which ended up with a coating that was way too thick! Made for a horrible time removing it. I spent more time trying to remove it than I did prepping the car.

A thin light layer is the only way to go with this stuff. In hindsight, I would recommend using a dropper or even a spray nozzle to get a consistent amount onto the pad.

Also be careful that if any part of the pad is dry while you are wiping, the pad will roll over on you.

Hopefully, other can avoid my application mistakes.

I find that coating super easy ,I even did a glk 350 outside in the blazing heat here in south Florida, the only bad thing and probably was my fault I'm mobile and with the outside heat and the pressure washer going there is extreme heat in the van ,I had it in my glove box went to do a red Silverado applied it to the fender and could not get it off.So I just threw it out and I will keep coatings in my closet at home in air conditioning.

Great job! I love AW E92 M3's. With a carbon roof too!
