When detailing a truck with off road style tires do you go around the tire and remove small gravels? Seems like my tires (nitto terra grapplers) always hold these little gravels in the tread. Just curious on every ones opinion on this 38100[/[ATTACH]38101ATTACH]

I remove the gravel from the tires'
treads of all of my vehicles...(whether
they happen to be trucks, or not)...
whenever I'm going to detail them.

It is a good idea to get rid of stones stuck between the treads, but I wouldn't go crazy with it. However some tires can suffer from something called stone drilling where a stone will work its way through the tread plys. This can result in a tire that is not able to be repaired safely.

A quick visual inspection is really all that is needed to check for something that may actually be damaging the tire.

Old Paramedic tool works perfect for this. It's called a kelly clamp. We used them back in the day to clamp down IV's or clamp umbilical cords from newborns.

Forget tweezers, once these latch on, nothing can survive lol
