I did this Vette over the weekend, one step polish and coating. Test spot with Menz 2500 and a white hybrid showed this:

I proceeded to with the entire car, coat and deliver on Sunday. I get a text today saying around the rear wing the paint looks like it was sanded. I asked if it was the driver side area because I noticed while working the car the rear quarter was a different shade of black as though it had been repainted. He said it was. I also noticed the tail section had a nice sized drip. I pointed all this out on pickup. He is bringing it back tomorrow to look at. I encounter another spot on the tail that I couldn't correct even with FG400 on an orange pad. The area had no texture but looked like a large scrape. 37982
Suggestions on heavy artillery? I don't want to rotary it. Maybe flash pad?

I used a flex, all the way down to orange and fg400. The paint had major issues, the black was even a different color on some panels. I've already returned the vehicle, he was happy with the over all results.

That's the best approach and best outcome....

You can't fix bad paint. As long as you have pointed it out, I would not worry about it.

Kinda looks like it was scuffed at some point or bad paint. If you hit it with FG400+pf2500 its most likely as good as it will get.

I think it was scuffed, then cleared over. It couldn't be felt which I thought was weird.
